Jim Leahy

Jim is the Technical Director / Health and Safety Manager of RPS Consulting Engineers.  He has previously worked as a site manager, project engineer in the Pharmaceutical Sector and as a Resident Engineer.  Jim is a previous Gold Medal Winner in the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner Awards for work in ensuring compliance with the Construction Regulations in RPS and was shortlisted as a finalist in the Association for Project Safety (APS) National CDM Health and Safety Awards for work in producing the Dublin City Council system for compliance with the 2013 Construction Regulations.   He is the current Chairperson of the Cork branch of Engineers Ireland and is a member of the Joint ‘Association of Consulting Engineers Ireland / Engineers Ireland’ National Health and Safety Committee. Jim lectures on the City & Guilds approved course on the role of the PSDP provided by the Construction Industry Federation.
