Cathy has more than 27 years’ experience in safety, health, environment, sustainability and quality management across the spectrum of construction and civil engineering including rail, gas, drainage and utilities infrastructure. She started her career with the Murphy Group in the UK before joining the Murphy Ireland team in 2004. Cathy has been integral in developing industry-leading safety, health, well-being, environmental and quality management systems within Murphy Ireland.
Cathy is now SHESQ Director heading up a team of 30 personnel, with overall responsibility for all projects carried out by the company.
Cathy has a strong commitment to exceeding SHESQ requirements and standards and is committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace. To this end, she actively promotes the philosophy of a ‘no harm’ culture on all projects, not only in health and safety but also in quality and environmental matters.
