Alison Gilliland

Alison Gilliland is the General Manager of the Construction Workers Health Trust and the Construction Workers Benevolent Fund. The Health Trust provides on-site health screenings to construction workers while the Benevolent Fund provides assistance in times of financial distress. Both the Health Trust and the Benevolent Fund are funded by workers making a small weekly contribution through the Construction Workers Pension Scheme. Alison has a background in trade unionism, education, equality and politics. She is Dublin City Councillor and a former Lord Mayor of Dublin. She holds a doctoral degree in education and is currently studying a Masters in Climate Change with a particular interest in a circular economy approach to construction.
