Mohammed Saleem (Sal)

Sal is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Lead Specialist, Application Engineering, for 3M Personal Safety Division based in the UK with responsibility for Europe, Middle East and Africa. With 34 years of experience in health and safety program management across a wide spectrum of industries, including construction, Sal has wealth of experience in helping customers implement an effective PPE programme in the workplace. Although Sal has supported most of the 3M PSD portfolio from technical standpoint including respiratory, head, eye and face protection, his strong passion lie in hearing protection working closely with customers, regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders in helping create a safer working environment. Sal has extensive experience in CEN and ISO standards development activity and is currently serving as Head of the UK delegation to CEN/TC159 Hearing protection Committee. He has also held position of convenorship of ISO/TC94/SC6/WG6 Eye and Face Protection Technical Committee and is currently Chair of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) for hearing, eye and face protection product interest group. Sal holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Industrial Hygiene – both from Newcastle University, UK.
