Dr Shane O’Donnell is the National Progamme Manager for Men’s Health in the HSE and is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the National Men’s Health Action Plan. He has significant experience in both research and practice, exploring ways to improve men’s engagement with health and social care services and developing programmes to promote better health outcomes among men. To date, his experience has largely focused on mental health promotion and suicide prevention among different groups of men. More recently, he led the development of the CAIRDE project which aimed to improve help-seeking and help-offering among male construction workers with regards their mental health.
