Jeppe Zielinski Nguyen Ajslev, Ph.d., holds a degree in sociology and is senior researcher at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NFA) in Denmark, specializing in psychosocial work environments, occupational accidents, safety culture and new technologies in the working environment. Ajslev has been involved in numerous research projects addressing critical issues such as physical strain in construction work, the implementation of exoskeletons in labour-intensive industries and the use of virtual design technologies to improve safety, ergonomics and psychosocial health in construction. Ajslev has contributed significantly to academic literature with his studies exploring topics like safety climate, participatory ergonomics, OSH professional work, technologies at work and the socio-cultural dynamics of workplace democracy. Ajslev’s research extends to improving OSH in the construction industry through improved application of new technologies, safety practices and ethical considerations. He regularly make presentations addressing how emerging technologies affect both physical and psychological work environments. In acknowledgment of his contributions to sociology, Ajslev was honoured as “Sociologist of the Month” in June 2024. Through his research and public engagements, Jeppe Zielinski Nguyen Ajslev continues to influence the discourse on occupational health and safety, particularly concerning OSH professional work and the integration of new technologies in the workplace.
